Open Education Network (OEN) for Faculty

A guide for faculty on how to benefit from OEN

Open Education Network

The Open Education Network is a supportive community that advances higher education equity, affordability, and access through open education in these ways

How to Use OEN

Faculty have access to

  • Open pedagogy, which empowers you to make education more equitable and inclusive, inviting students in as co-creators, and creating rich opportunities for deep and active learning
  • OER Publishing, which supports your publishing efforts in whatever form they may take. Here is a useful Toolkit-organized chronologically by common publishing stages
  • The Community Hub, which is a collection of community-created, openly licensed resources to support OEN workshops and OER initiatives at our institution
  • Google Group Community of Practice, which is a listserv where OEN members ask questions, share challenges and successes, and explore ways to build and sustain their programs. Centre's OEN delegate can ask the Google group a question on your behalf
