The goal of this section of the guide is to show what institutions are working to preserve and display African American history in Kentucky. Some organizations have digital items which can be used for research, while others do not. If you are interested in doing research at any of these locations, you may have to contact the organization and coordinate a research visit or meeting with a representative. Ask your instructor or a librarian for help if you have concerns about scheduling a visit, especially if you will need reimbursement for travel costs or other financial support.
