COVID-19 Stories: Home

Share your story to our COVID-19 Archives Collection

Centre College Grace Doherty Library is launching a project to encourage Centre students, staff, faculty and alumni to document their personal experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic and contribute them to the library archives.

We welcome any and all formats of documentation:

  • written narratives
  • photographs
  • journals
  • letters
  • art
  • voice recordings
  • videos
  • multimedia digital storytelling
  • creative works, etc.

We are currently living history and are interested in preserving our stories as you experience this unprecedented time.

Ways to participate:

  1. Upload digital content directly to our COVID-19 digital archives site: https://centrenow.omeka.net/contribution
  2. Email digital content to mary.girard@centre.edu along with a signed copy of the permission form available here.
  3. Contact beth.morgan@centre.edu to make arrangements to donate physical materials to the library's onsite archival collection. (Please note: Physical materials may be digitized and returned upon request, so please reach out if you would like to contribute something but don't want to part with it.)

Please comply with local stay-at-home orders while self-documenting.

Any third parties interviewed or mentioned by full name in your documentation must submit a permission form, available here, to be submitted by you with your contributing materials.

Submissions may not be available to the public immediately. Please allow processing time. All digitally submitted materials will be made available on the library's Centre Now digital archives site, unless explicitly requested otherwise. All other materials will be preserved in the library's archives and made available for future research.

Any questions about the project can be emailed to Special Collections Librarian/Archivist Beth Morgan at beth.morgan@centre.edu.
