The University of Minnesota has put together a Copyright Scenarios site illustrating the fair-use analysis that takes place when deciding whether or not copyright permissions are needed for the use of a particular material.  This is a fairly comprehensive site, with scenarios illustrating the use of media, movies, print materials, dvd material, digital articles, etc.
